Matthew 8:23-27, Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!" But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

Most people live their lives in a state of constant worry. We all worry about bills to be paid, health issues, potential accidents, disasters or whatever. The good news is that we don't have to worry. I know that its hard to accept for many but it is so true that Jesus will look after us if only we have faith. As Christians, our entire belief system is based purely on faith. Faith is our power and our mightiest of tools that gets us through the hard times. When we have faith, then we know that GOD is always with us and will never forsake us. Faith is trusting in the unseen but knowing in your heart that there is something there. Faith is the key to a relationship with GOD.

GOD promises us eternal life, happiness, contentment, fulfillment and joy and all HE requires of us is to believe in HIM and HIS Son, Jesus Christ. Faith is our foundation but that faith must be a trust in GOD and not in the word faith in itself. GOD will test our faith to make sure its genuine and in those trying times, our faith can falter. The testing times are the moments when we may think GOD has deserted us but the fact is quite the contrary. When GOD tests our faith, HE is actually focused on us and wants to make sure our belief is steadfast.

I personally have endured some pretty challenging tests and only when I have submitted and resorted to prayer and faith, did those times come to a satisfactory resolve. Now I know that when I am put to the test, its not that GOD has abandoned me or is necessarily angry with me. Its because HE is paying special attention to me and maybe testing to me for a higher purpose. Whatever HIS reasons are, I have utmost faith that it is for the best.
