Daniel 1:2-7

Then the king commanded Ashpenaz, his chief eunuch, to bring some of the people of Israel, both of the royal family and of the nobility, youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king's palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans. We've all experienced times of pressure, grief, failure, stress or what have you that leads us to question why GOD does this to HIS children. Often times we think that GOD is punishing us for past wrongdoings. We cannot even begin to scratch the surface of understanding that GOD has an immaculate plan for everything, for this world as well as eternity and more importantly, we all fit into HIS plan. If we endure with faith throughout life's trials, then we realize GOD's plan and act out HIS will.

A perfect example of this is the story of Daniel. Daniel was delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans and was made to suffer all the indignation of a slave, yet he endured in faith and never turned from GOD. He acted out GOD's will and by doing so, has become a beacon of inspiration for us all. Daniel allowed GOD to show HIS love and as a result, Daniel was blessed in the end. No matter what difficulties we face in life, we must always remember that we part of a master plan and through faith and endurance, we may influence others possitively and earn our place at GOD's side.
