God is sovereign. (2 Samuel 7:22; Isaiah 46:9-11).



Sovereignty means GOD answers to no one. If you look up the word "sovereign" in the dictionary, you'll find words like "supreme in power and authority" and "ruler" but we can sum up GOD's sovereignty by simply understanding that GOD is in control of all things, at all times, for all eternity.



We've already established that GOD os eternal, infinite, omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient so naturally HE is sovereign over all things. GOD is the CREATOR and RULER and there is no higher power than the MOST HIGH. I think King David said it best when he sang, 



"God is in control of all things and rules over all things. He has power and authority over nature, earthly kings, history, angels, and demons. Even Satan himself has to ask God’s permission before he can act" (Psalm 103:19).



Just like in times past when subjects bowed down to their kings, we must bow down before our KING OF KINGS but unlike the corruptible kings from our history who often abused their authority, GOD is incorruptible and rules with perfect and unconditional love. GOD is a ruler who only wants the absolute best for HIS subjects.



Romans 8:28 promises that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.



GOD is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise and through HIS infinite power, wisdom and knowledge, HE is all-loving. No one can question HIS love by way of HIS sacrifice for us sinners through the death of Jesus on the cross. Our most benevolent and sovereign ruler is also the most merciful and loving king anyone could hope for. GOD is the sovereign KING OF LOVE.
