Then came the time where we did what we do best and that is basically the wrong thing. Jesus' last days on earth are both moving and create a great sense of disappointment in me in regards to how His own people betrayed Him. Six days before His last Passover and arrest, Jesus travels from Bethany to Bethphage where He mounts the colt for His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. En route from Bethphage, the multitudes gathered and laid down their garments and palm branches on the rod before Him shouting, "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!", Mark 11:9-10.

Over the following six days, so many touching events occurred, such as the sermon on the Mount of Olives, the washing of the disciples' feet and everything that transpired during His last Passover supper. The passages that describe the happenings during that supper are some of the most emotional readings I've experienced and truly touched me down to my very soul.

Then Jesus was betrayed by Judas and arrested in the garden of Gethsamane and brought before Pilate after being falsely charged by the Pharisees . Even though Pilate found Him to be innocent and urged the Jews to choose Him to be set free, they demanded His murder. The very same that six days before laid palm branches before Him on the road to Jerusalem. Pilate, out of fear of a riot, complied and Jesus was scourged, beaten and finally crucified.

While on the cross, Jesus asks GOD to forgive those who murdered Him. A spear is thrust into His side and He cries in a loud voice, "It is finished. Father into your hands I commit my spirit." and then our lord Jesus Christ dies...or did He?
