To better understand GOD, which is so important when trying to know HIM better, I'm going to dedicate the next few pages to facts about GOD that are found in Scripture starting with:

​God is eternal. (Deuteronomy 33:27; Jeremiah 10:10; Psalm 90:2)



GOD has always been around and HE will be around forever. GOD existed before the Big Bang and will be here after everything is said and done. When GOD tells Moses, "I AM THAT I AM.", HE's letting Moses know that HE and only HE is eternal among other things. Nothing else can compare. Even galaxies have a beginning and will ultimately have an end but GOD, who created all, will always be.

Eternal is hard to imagine as I've stated before. We can only comprehend time on a linear scale but eternity means time actually begins to be an unimportant factor. We must keep this in mind when we sometimes question why its taking so long for Jesus to come back. For an eternal being, I wouldn't think that there would be any sense of urgency or impatience, so GOD can afford to wait till its the right time in HIS master plan for our Lord to return.

We never have to worry about GOD deserting us as many claim for is, was and always will be and HE has promised us salvation and GOD never lies. HE is all things and eternal (forever). HE is that HE is.
