Everyone makes promises and everyone breaks promises. I've broken more than I've kept in my life to date. GOD has made promises to us but unlike us, HE keeps HIS promises without fail. In the Bible, GOD promises to fulfill all our needs. In my case, this has certainly been true. Now understand that HE says HE will fulfill all our "needs", not wants. I have always, no matter what, had food to eat and clothes to wear and a place to sleep. I have never really had all of the luxuries I've asked for. This was my own confusion for I, as with many today, came to regard luxuries as needs.

GOD has promised all this will work together for good for those who love and serve HIM faithfully. This, at times may be hard to see but if we are faithful, GOD promises to fill our lives with good. Again, "good" cannot be confused with luxury or excess. "The Lord moves in mysterious ways." is a popular saying but it is true. The more faith I established in my life, the better my life became even though as GOD was making provisions, they were so

subtle, that I didn't even realize it was HIM keeping his promise. I finally got it when my daughter was born and it dawned on me how enriched my life had become but also, how different it was from anything I ever wished for myself.

GOD has shown his immense love for us by fulfilling HIS promise to provide forgiveness for our sins and allowing us to reconcile with HIM. HE made good on the promise that HE made way back in the book of Genesis when HE promised Abraham, "And in thy seed shall all nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice." Jesus Christ, who referred to himself as the Son of man, was a direct descendant of Abraham and through Him, we are blessed with a way to reconcile with our FATHER.

And through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we are finally promised eternal life. GOD has kept every promise he has made to us so I have utmost faith that HE will keep this promise as well. I know that if I live my life as servant to GOD, HIS promises will be mine forever.
