Psalm 56:11
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
Basically all human actions, when left up to our own devices, are actually reactions that are driven by either fear or desire. If we want something, we react to obtain it and when we fear soemthing, we react to distance it. Reactions can vary, such as iwith fear. If we fear something, we may not necessarilly just run away from it. Forinstance, we obey traffic rules because we fear the punishments of fines, losing our license or even criminal charges. Society and government often use fear atctics to keep the general public in check. When I was in high school, a popular practice was to take the students on a field trip to a prison to put the fear of incarceration into them in hopes of discouraging any budding criminals.
This is all fear used to benefit society but there is other fears which are unwarrented, such as fear of the dark or persecution for one's beliefs. When we put our trust in GOD, we no longer have to fear the unknown. When we trust in our MAKER, we believe that whatever the future holds, it is HIS will nd that HIS will is good, even if it may not seem so at the time.
GOD is our FATHER and HE trumps any consequences that can be dished out by man against man. If we desire to trust in HIM, then all else pales in significance. We all know that love can give us immense courage. There's nothing I wouldn't do to save my child if she were in peril. I'd face anyone and do anything to save her. GOD loves us like this times infinity so when we trust in HIM, we can feel secure that the SUPREME BEING has our backs and there's absolutely no need to fear what man can do to us.
