Mark 8:34

"Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me"

Even strong-in-faith Christians may sometimes be disappointed as they feel lacking in GOD's blessings. I think we all may feel this way at times and I believe its due to the fact that we sometimes stray from following Christ diligently. We lose sight of the spiritual blessings that He bestows on us. Being diligent in faith was ealier when Jesus walked the earth as many could witness the miricles that confirmed Him as the Son of GOD but if you notice in the Bible, those who showed exceptional faith gained a place in scritpure as an examples for us all.

For instance in Matthew 9:28-30,

(28) And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord." (29) Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you." (30) And their eyes were opened.

To truly be a follower of Christ, one must forsake himself totally and bear Christ's cross but not all of us were cut out to be monks. I believe that for those of us who haven't recieved the calling to preach and don't have the opportunity to earn a living throght the church, if we diligently seek to strngthen our faith and make conscious efforts to make each day better for our fellow human beings, then we are following Christ and GOD's b;essings will come. Christ will shephard us back to GOD if we believe.
