Galatians 3:16

"The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ."

GOD promises Abraham that through his seed, all families of the earth will be blessed. This doesn't mean just decendants of his but "all families". GOD tells Abraham, "Walk before me, and be perfect." Throughout history, only one person has been perfect or blameless (sinless) and thats of course Jesus. Only Jesus was worthy to receive the gift promised by GOD through HIS covenant with Abraham. So, does that mean only Jesus will be blessed? The answer is no.

"If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Galatians 3:29) By accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, we become part of His family and although we may not be genetically decended from Abraham, we are still part of GOD's family through Christ and therefore are blessed. Through jesus, we are reconciled with our CREATOR and can receive HIS grace and forgiveness for our iniquities.

Many misinterpret the Bible when it refers to the seed of Abraham. They think it means only Jews have the right to inherit the Kingdom of GOD. One must remember that GOD is spirit and therefore has little importance on the physicality of biological lineage. Through belief and faith, we are bound by something stronger than genetics. We are bound by spirit and all become the seed of Abraham and co-inheritors, along with our Lord Jesus, of the Kingdom of GOD.
