Ephesians 4:29-32
“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not grieve God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live…. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you."
Such words to live by. Even non-believers will agree that Paul is stating the best way to live in a society. As the population grows and we are forced to intersect and interact more and more, Paul's words become increasingly relevant. How we speak to and about each other is paramount. Jesus said that what goes into our bodies cannot defile us but what we exude can.
It has been scientifically prven that anger and all the feeling associated with it can be a serious health risk. We must do our best to expel such emotions and replace them with patience and kindness. It's essential for our physical and spiritual health and we must do whatever we can to not "grieve GOD's holy spirit" for it is a part of GOD and is a gift to us that inspires us to want to know HIM better.
