1 Corinthians 1:18

"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."

 

Whenever I post a Christian thought on a general forum, I get bombarded with replies ridiculing my belief. People will say that I believe in mythology or that I am a mindless Jesus freak. They blame all the strife in the world on religion and claim that more have been killed by Christianity than anything else. The strife and killing is done by men falsely in the name of GOD. These are the fasle prophets Jesus speaks of throughout the New Testament and they do not reflect GOD or Christ in any way. They only use the name to further their own desires.

 

1 Corinthians further states, "For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe."

 

Those who claim to be wise, such as scientists, politicians and atheists think that they, through modern knowledge, can discredit the Word in the Bible. They have become boastful if their so called wisdom and seek to cause doubt in the minds of believers. It saddens me to know that they are destined to perish and all their wisdom will prove to be folly in the end.

 

No human being should boast in the presence of the LORD unless they boast in the Lord.
