"An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so.
But what will you do in the end?" Jeremiah 5:30-31.



There are so many false religions in the world today.  We as Christians, know in our hearts what the truth is, so discerning from another religion is easy enough but we are faced with another more difficult challenge. That challenge is to recognize those within our religion who preach for the wrong reasons. I've watched some television evangelists say ridiculous things like, If you don't send me money, GOD will punish you." This is such a blatant abuse of GOD's word that its difficult to understand how they build such immense material wealth from their lies.



Others attempt to coax honest believers out of their possessions by claiming to know when the end will come. Jesus made it abundantly clear when He gave His sermon on the Mount of Olives and told the disciples that only the FATHER knows when the end will come and that not even He, the Son of GOD knew when that would be.



Evil people exalt themselves and exploit others who would otherwise be good Christians through twisting the words of the Bible to suit their greed. They are not of GOD and as Jeremiah states, they rule by their own power, meaning that they are not seeking to serve GOD but are relying on their own abilities of cunning and lies to gain personal wealth.



Jesus and the book of Revelations warns us of these false prophets so we must be on guard. Those who beseech you for money in the name of GOD are most likely one of these false prophets and one shouldn't feel guilty for not donating to their false causes. Our donations should be made of free will. GOD will let you know much and to whom our donations should be made.
