Daniel 4:17

'The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of men.' 

Today we have a political process for determining who runs countries in most cases. When leaders get too out of hand, often we see the oppressed revolt and overthrow the Incumbent person or party. All too ofetn the ones that overthrow, turn out to be worse than the previous leaders.

Because of the seemingly untrustworthy and downright evil appearance and actions of today's leaders, its not hard to see why people doubt GOD cares. In fact most people who believe that GOD even exists, think of HIM as lofty personality that was involved a long time ago but has grown bored and disinterested as of late.

GOD turned HIS back on the Israelites several times throughout the Bible for their wicked ways. How mnuch more wicked is society today? It's no wonder GOD has truned HIS back on us but the fact is, GOD is quick to forgive but society as whole must repent to spur HIM into forgiving. Sadly, for me, I can't see modern hedonistic society as one who is even remotely interested in GOD's way so as individuals, we must shoulder the burden. GOD hears us and is hands on. We see it in the children.
