Hebrews 2:1-4

(1) We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. (2) For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, (3) how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. (4) God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

From what I can gather by reading history, we are entering the most trying times mankind has ever faced. Our ability to destroy ourselves is getting more and more efficient. Racial tensions are heating up and hate is growing on a global scale like never before. The church and Christians are being persecuted in every muslim country but even more worrying is that Christianity in the U.S. is being distorted, forsaken with governmant making attempts to irradicate it from public access. It seems like its now a crime to express our faith whereas false doctrines such as the koran and being promoted.

In these most trying of times, we have to enforce our faith in the face of adversity. Our attention has to be focused on the Bible and less on fasle prophets such as TV evengelists who promote wealth and prosperity as signs from GOD. We must store up our faith in preparation for the coming trials amnd not let it slip drift away. Like the parable of the ten vergins, we must make sure our oil is sufficient to keep our lamps lit for when our Lord returns. We MUST always remember the gift of the Holy Spirit!
