Hebrews 10:26: "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins."

There's a populare hymn called "Just As I Am, Lord" which sings about a doctrine that once we accept Jesus Christ, nothung can stop us from being saved. Although the acceptance of Christ as our Lord and Savior paves the way for our salvation, I don't believe that we are saved no matter what. Jesus sacrificed Himself so that we may find salvation through Him but if, knowing this, we continue to willfully sin, then we cancel out His sacrifice as Hebrews 10 states.

The Apostle Paul says in Romans 3:23: "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

The fact is, whether we have accepted Christ or not, we are all guilty of sin, barring no one. Sin is just part of our nature and GOD knows this. When we accept Christ, we don't stop sinning but if we truly believe in Him in our hearts, we should want to please Him. This means we should do our best to eliminate willful sin from our lives and when we sin accidentally, we should repent and ask for forgiveness. GOD knows we will sin but HE wants us to recognize and feel sorry for when we do. The apostle Paul refers to this as "GODLY Sorrow".

Corinthians 7:10-11. "See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter."

Being saved does not mean we will stop sinning but rather we will recognize our sins and seek forgiveness through Jesus Christ who has the power to forgive those sins. All GOD wants is for us to do our best to recognize sin and by doing so, we can expect to do a better job in avoiding sin.
