2 Peter 3:8-9

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

GOD is eternal so linear time is a non factor to HIM. When we ultimately enter into our eternal spiritual lives, linear time will become a non factor to us as well. Imagine not feeling the anxiety, bordom, anticipation of waiting. I, for one, will welcome that.

Many nin believers always question why the rapture hasn't yet happened even though the New Testament states several times that we are close to the end of times. Remember the unimprtance of linear time lines to GOD but the fact is, we are close. Not in reference to time but in reference to haw far we have distanced ourselves from GOD. GOD is waiting for as many people as possible to accept HIM and Jesus as HE wants to save as many possible. GOD does not take any pleasure in the destruction of the wicked. HE does, howver take great delight in repentance. Jesus will come in GOD's time.
