Deuteronomy 7:22

“You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you.”

Sometimes I feel that GOD is taking too long to do HIS work for me and others that I care about or even that HE may not be willing to answer my prayers. We want things and we want them now. This is just human nature, to be impatient. At times when I feel frustrated that things aren't happening when I want them to, I have to force myself to meditate on HIS WORD and realize that GOD does things according to HIS master plan and in HIS own way. Since HE is the very source of all wisdom, I have to understand that whatever HIS reasons are for delaying, they are the right reasons.

Looking at it this way, it dawns on me that things are happening little by little. We may demand the result immediately, which causes us to lose sight of the fact that its a process or a journey that leads to the end result, one step at a time. I believe GOD wants us to experience the journey so that we may appreciate the arrival at the destination more. Furthermore, we need to understand that the journey outweighs the result in importance for our spiritual growth.

We human beings want what we want now, immediately but as it says in Deuteronomy 7:22, we can't have everything at once. We have to be patient and be aware of the journey GOD is guiding us through. If HE were to answer all our prayers at once, by way of our human nature, this would lead to pride and complacency just to name a couple of the "wild animals" that would begin to multiply around us. Get immersed in the journey and then when we arrive at the destination, we will truly understand and appreciate GOD's plan for our growth in HIM.
