"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7

Of all the qualities we could be endowed with, wisdom is the most precious. From wisdom, most good character traits are revealed. Solomon was granted great wisdom from GOD but he showed that he was wise before by asking GOD for wisdom. Through wisdom, a man will show humility, attentiveness, justice, faith and patience. All these are qualities that make up a righteous person. The first realization of a wise man is probably that he doesn't know everything. A wise man is always seeking to listen and learn instead of running at the mouth and boasting.

When we think of a wise person, the image of a quiet, humble and beneficial human being comes to mind. Wisdom is equated with goodness and kindness. We never hear of a wise and wicked person. One should never confuse wisdom with cleverness. The clever person may be able to devise schemes and be a convincing orator but that is not wisdom. Wisdom is knowing and continually seeking the truth and the truth will lead you to GOD and Jesus Christ. "

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, "If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; 32And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31, 32

A fool trusts in himself and the ways of the world and by saying that, I don't mean that Christians should lack confidence in themselves. We open our hearts to the truth about our CREATOR and are granted the wisdom to know to trust in HIM and have faith. This gives us confidence in ourselves as we know the love of our FATHER won't forsake us. If we begin our quest for knowledge by accepting the truth about Jesus, then we will receive the divine instruction on how to wise.
