[Jesus] said to them, "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent." Luke 4:43.



Jesus taught us the ultimate way of life and if we follow His teachings, we are guaranteed joy and happyness for eternity but many today mistake His true teachings. There are those today who argue that Jesus promoted Himself mainly. They misunderstand when He made statements like, "I am the light of the world.", "I am equal to GOD." and "The only way to GOD is through me." These were not self promotional comments but actual truths. If they were not true then Jesus would either have been a masterful con artist or a madman, In Josh McDowell's book, More Than a Carpenter, Mr. McDowell provides researched evidence that undeniably supports Jesus as the true Son of GOD and provides even more solid evidence that Jesus was both totally sane and honest. Remember that there were thousands who witnessed His miracles and when he was resurrected, more than five hundred people saw Him.



Jesus had no reason to falsely promote Himself for He know that by stating He was the Son of GOD, he would be executed. Jesus was sent to earth by the FATHER to preach the gospel (good news) about the coming of the Kingdom of GOD. Everything He said and taught us was to prepare us to be forgiven and gain entry when the time comes. And after He taught us all that we need to know, He sacrificed Himself so that we could all be handed keys to the gates of our FATHER's house.
