When we seek GOD's love, can we actually find and more importantly, feel it? We try to feel GOD and HIS existence through various means, most of which is through prayer but is this right? GOD is perfect love and HE tells us this over and over through the Word and by sacrificing HIS only Son for us. When we seek to feel GOD and are disappointed when we don't get that physical feeling, I believe we are actually insulting HIM. It's like saying, GOD, please prove to me that you are not a liar when you promise that you love me by making me feel you.

Through the Bible, which is GOD's word, HE let's us know countless times that HE loves us without restarint. Even though we continuously sin, HE keeps on coming up with ways for us to make ammends. In the Old Testament, GOD gives Moses the law and statutes to follow. When the Israelites threw the law back in GOD's face, HE went to extremes and sacrificed HIS Son for us so that we may become HIS children as well. All we have to do is accept and believe in HIS sacrifice.

Even after this ultimately generous and immeasurably easy gift of redemption, we fail and doubt or stray from our belief in Jesus, GOD grants us a final chance through Jesus' thousand year reign on earth when we will all experience our first resurrections and see Christ with our own eyes.

When we feel our faith shaking because we don't feel GOD in our earthly way, we should take a step back and contemplate the wonderful and selfless gifts GOD has given us and be ultimately thankful and humble ourselves before HIM. Love is the act of giving and not receiving. GOD keeps giving to us so we should not seek for HIM to let us feel HIM. Instead we should be looking for ways to show our gratitude by serving HIM. "For we walk by faith and not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7
