Judges 17:6

In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit.

"Everyone did as they saw fit" This is a recipe for disaster. Without guidance, we generally will follow the mob. Its called peer pressure and its a powerful thing that will pretty much lead to the wrong way of life. Even King Solomon, who had conversations with GOD and was blessed with unequaled wisdom, succumbed to peer pressure from his foreign wives and gave in to practicing idolatry.

Peer pressure is stronger than ever in society today. Young people face it the most and it has led to our youth falling prey to drug abuse, alcoholism, immoral sexual behavior and in extreme cases, gang violence and even murder. We, as a whole, have turned our backs on GOD, who has provided us with clear cut guidlines to live our lives. The thing about peer pressure is, it may seem right but it usually leads to misery.
