Psalm 33:1-5

"In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me. Free me from the trap that is set for me, for you are my refuge. Into your hands I commit my spirit; redeem me, O LORD, the God of truth."

This Psalm is a beautifully intimate prayer from David in which he states his unwaivering faith in GOD. King David, in all his glory and power, never forgot who out him there. He knew that all his firtune was GOD's will and so he committed himselm to GOD. He trusted the LORD completely and by doing so, gained GOD's favor for not only himself but his decendants.

By trusting GOD completely, we gain comfort in knowing that our CREATOT will deliver us always from the pitfalls of life. In the last line, David says, "Into your hands, I commit my spirit..." These words were repeated by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. I too, choose to commit my spirit into GOD's hands through the grace granted by Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Amen!
