Before I get into being born again, first I have to point out that many people who claim to be born again, have misinterpreted what this means exactly. Being born again does not give a believer the right to judge others. We, as Christians, must focus on our own lives and controlling our own urges to sin. None of us are so perfect that we are without sin, so what gives anyone the right to condemn others? I focus on my own actions and let GOD be the judge of others.

Being born again does not mean to live in a Christian bubble and cut off all contact with anything that doesn't have a Cristian theme or to have acquaintances with those of other faiths. I believe our duty as Christians is to lead our lives according to GOD's will as taught to us by Jesus Christ. This means to love one another and even love our enemies. There's nothing wrong with discussing our faith in hopes of getting others to understand our comfort but it is not my job to condemn anyone for not agreeing with me. Also there is nothing sinful about watching a movie or listening to music that is not about GOD. Faith comes from within and it is personal and having contact with differing opinions is not a sin as long as one's faith is strong enough to be influenced by contradictory ideas.

Many born again believers think that they wield the power to condemn others to eternity in hell and constantly threaten so. We know that the only way to enter heaven is through Jesus Christ but that's just one the benefits of being Christian. Living life with a loving and all forgiving GOD by my sides is my main reason for being Christian and all I want to do is to thank HIM in any way I can. Christianity should not be presented as some sort of insurance against eternity in hell.

Being "born again" means to be baptized, which symbolically enables one to accept a rebirth of life with the Holy Spirit just as when Jesus was baptized in the Jordan by John the Baptist. It means a change of heart and an opening of the eyes to a life of kindness, compassion and love, the Christ way of life and through it, we can experience peace and joy right here on earth.
