Genesis 1:26

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

 

GOD is love. We know this but we must not confuse that with GOD chooses love. It goes far beyond that for HIS very essence is love. Love seeks relationships. In order for this pure love to be complete. there must be an object or focus for this love and for that reason, GOD created us in his very image. This means we also have the capacity to love as well and being in HIS image, we were bestowed with another gift, which free will to choose.

 

When we open our minds and hearts to GOD and use our GOD-given gift of free will to choose to seek our FATHER and to know HIM better, then we complete GOD's will. We open ourselves to receive GOD's love, which was the reason we were created for.
