Matthew 6:1

"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven"

When we eventually stand before GOD to be judged, our deeds will be considered along with our faith. All our acts of righteousness will be recorded and will be acknowledged by GOD HIMSELF. As Christians, it is our duty to perform acts of kindness and love for one another as in by doing so, we are performing works for our Savior.

"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'" (Matthew 25:40)

The way we show our committment to GOD is through being committed to helping each other. GOD is supremely selfless. Many atheists claim that GOD is selfish and wants all to kneel before HIM. GOD wants us to worship HIM by helping our brothers and sisters here and now. The only true way to show our love for GOD is through our love for one another.

When we do kind deeds for each other, we do honor GOD but we must do so secretly. Many make grand gestures of kindness and seek recognition for their acts. This does little to honor GOD. It is an act to glorify ourselves. If we perform acts of kindness with the sole desire to help the recipient and do so secretly so they know not who has done this act, then we honor our FATHER in heaven.
