Jill’s adult amateur students also follow their dreams at In the Irons. The USDF, Arabian Horse Association, and American Quarter Horse Association have all bestowed honors on this small group.  Jill coached Jennifer Delmer and trained Jennifer’s American Quarter Horse through earning AQHA Register of Merit and Superior Event Horse awards in dressage, as well as recognition as National High Point Champion for AQHA at first level. Jennifer was the 2015 recipient of the Carol Lavell Gifted memorial fund grant for Region 9 of USDF.

Jill has been an integral part of the Alamo Dressage Association for over a decade, serving as a board member and donating her time and facility for numerous events sponsored by the club.  She has also fostered support for ADA among the riders she coaches.  In the Irons Equestrian Center is a multiple year gold sponsor of the Alamo Dressage Association.

In The Irons Tack

Texas is known as horse country, no doubt. However, despite the growing popularity of English riding, most of the riding tack and apparel shops are dedicated to western style here in the Lone Star State. For this reason, Jill Ammann decided to launch In The Irons Tack, exclusively dedicated to quality English riding merchandise. The idea started off as a boutique style shop located right in her equestrian center to service her students and tenants. Jill then evolved her concept into a mobile retail strategy where she created a boutique on wheels that travels to the Dressage and Hunter/Jumper competitions around the state.

As the business continued to grow, In The Irons Tack decided that their products should be available to the entire country, and beyond thus, giving birth to www.intheironstack.com., a complete online department store for English riding enthusiasts. Now riders and "would be" riders can acquire everything from regulation competition outfits to casual wear, tack, saddles, boots and just about anything that is exclusively dressage and hunter/jumper related!

How is In The Irons Tack different than the rest? Our motto, "by equestrians, for equestrians," holds true, as Jill is an active competitor in Region 9 Dressage. Our Creative Director/Website Curator is also a Region 9 Dressage competitor, while our Sales Representative for the mobile shop is a Zone 7 Hunter/Jumper Competitor and our Director of Store Operations rides for leisure. Our love for the horse is evident when selecting items for our customers. We strive to bring our clientele the very best products from around the world!
